Is there a minimum age for ME (without parents)?

Say if we want to rent a car but the kids want to ride ME to the resort? They would be about 14, 11, and 8. And I'm only thinking out loud here. Right now my oldest is only 8, so that scenario would be a long ways off, and I have no idea if I would do it even if my children were perfect responsible angels.

I can't say for sure, but I do remember someone posting here last spring (I think) about their son using DME by himself and he was 17ish. DME didn't want him to do this....I don't think they want non-adults riding by themselves. It's a chance I wouldn't take if it were my kids. Have one adult pick up the rental and the other ride with the kids.
But it would seem that you are looking at about 6 years down the road. No way of telling what the DME situation will be at that time.
