Is there a map of MDR table numbers somewhere?

I'm sailing next fall with a total cruise newbie and an experienced cruiser who is new to DCL. I'd love to be able to see a map of the table numbers for each of the main dining rooms so I could hand-pick our dinner tables (by the window in Royal Court, near a screen in Animator's....).

Does such a thing exist? Or do I just ask my TA to make this request for us, and hope for the best?

No such thing exists. Table numbers are often moved around and may be different even during different rotations on the same cruise.

No advice as to whether to ask for a specific location beforehand or not.

Darn it. Thanks for your quick response. I'll talk to the girls and decide what is most important, and ask the TA to request for us.

Also the odds of one table or even section being next to a window/next to the screen/next to a window are slim to none. In my experience, they try to move numbers/sections around in the dining rooms so that everyone will have a chance at what are perceived as "better" areas.

You can also go to see the Maitre'd on embarkation day and check on your assignment.

The time will be listed on the front page of the Navigator that you get when boarding. It is usually around 1.

Yep. Just keep in mind your table assignment is for the whole cruise. The whole point of Disney's system is that your serving team gets to know you, and they can't do that if you're table hopping to try and get the "best" table.

I have never seen where someone was able to put in a request like this. Like a PP poster said. A table number could be close to a screen in AP but not near a window in RC. You sit at the same table number the whole cruise.

You are not able to request the booths in Enchanted Garden or by the window in Royal Court. They will take requests for seating by yourselves or a specific server but I believe they try to limit your request to the most important one to you.

If you go to MDR for breakfast or lunch you can request a table by the window or wherever you want. The tables are not pre-assgined for these meals.

Fwiw, near a window can make you feel a bit woozy as the water rushes past. And if you are dining as it gets dark, the window just becomes a reflective surface.

Plus you can have nice views of the water even Away from a window, if you look over. Also, you will be seeing the water the whole cruise! Dining with it aight might not me something to insist on.

As for the screens....my family enjoyed watching others interact, and getting a big picture view of the room, rather than sitting by a screen ourselves.

I bow before your awesomeness and will gladly subjugate my family's vacation so that you can have the best of the best of everything.

Since you are assigned to a particular table by number, and to the same table number in all of the MDRs in the dining rotation, I doubt that the OP's request is even possible. What could DCL do? Have waitstaff madly run around moving table numbers between dinner settings? What about the other passengers who would logically expect their own dinner tables to be situated close to the same neighboring tables as on previous nights? :rolleyes1

This is probably the best you can do to get a specific location - breakfast or lunch requests in the MDRs.

edit: Disney looks to put similar people or large linked groups together for dinners and specific location requests wouldn't fit with their plan. Also, as previously mentioned, your wait staff stays with you for the entire trip and that is one of the nicest experiences of a Disney cruise.

As others have mentioned, you are assigned a table number and while that number may be by the window in RC it most likely will not be in front of the screens in AP nor will it be a round booth in EG. If you want the booth or a window then you should try lunch in the MDR. We have been in front of the screen in AP and it was NOT a great experience for us but others enjoy it.
