I know it hasn't started yet, but it's annual right? Is it just a lot of stuff to see? Is it a lot of how plant type of things? I heard there are some concerts but we aren't into concerts much. I like to look at flowers and take pictures but that's about it... so I was wondering how big this was and if it would take up any extra time or not.

::MinnieMo It's absolutely gorgeous! The topiaries are simply amazing. This year they're having a little maze and stuff like that. We didn't spend a whole lot of time with the flowers, but we did take a more leisurely stroll around. ::MickeyMo

I'm going for this for the 1st time ever and I am very excited to see it! :cool1:

During the Flower Festival I find much more to see and do at Epcot. What with the Flower Power concerts, the topiaries and the various kiosks set up. Last year (2004) there was a spot talking about bees and giving out hunny.
I can spend twice as much time at Epcot during the Festival as at any other time of the year.

We didn't see any concerts but the flowers are amazing! Mickey and Minnie holding hands made completely out of flowers. Panda's (I think they were in China) that moved around. They also had a garden of all of the dogs in different Disney movies and cartoons made out of flowers. It's an absolutely beautiful time to go. Epcot was gorgeous (not like it isn't usually :) ) Also last year at the entrance to Epcot they had a bush that swirled around with Tinkerbell at the top and at night the whole thing sparkled with lights.

Thanks for the reviews, guys! DD7 and I will be there next month during the festival. I've never seen it before and was worried that it'd just take up space, making things more crowded, and not be interesting to DD. It sounds like there will just be extra stuff she'll like! :cool1:

Mostly flowers. . .and gardens.

During one they had a great kid’s kiosk set up by Home Depot. My son was able to make to small potted plants and they also gave out small orange Home Depot aprons to the kids with the Epcot Flower and Garden logo. He still wears his when either working in the garage OR the kitchen.

At specified times each day, they had butterfly releases. At other times, they released ladybugs. It was a little thing, but fun to see the kids with the butterflies. The events were hosted by a man and a woman who rode around in decked-out golf cart. They were both dressed up. I don't remember her name. His was Pete Moss. The events were held in a garden area close to Mission Space and Test Track.
