If we wind up taking Disney transport right from MCO to the port, we aren't going to have a chance to stop at liquor store like we would if we stayed over the night before. Anywhere to pick up beer/wine/liquor at MCO before getting on a bus?? Thanks!

and if not, maybe a company that delivers this sort of thing to the ship??? I see the company everyone used before is no longer delivering :(

No liquor stores in MCO. You'd have to go off site to find one. I believe DCL is pretty much not accepting private deliveries to the ship from vendors any longer (at least they cut out Shirley's Perfect Gift and Babies Travel Lite).

Liquor stores I am not sure about, there is a WAWA not far from the airport on Semoran Blvd where you can get Beer and Wine, maybe do a search, area on Norcosee road has been getting built up in recent years, with a walmart and such. A cab ride or uber would be needed. Depending on the party size, it might be cheaper to hire limo then you could have them stop at SPECS near the port...

Cheers!

Update-answered my own question, there is an ABC liquor store 12 minutes away on south orange blvd, that would be the closest. Also Publix stores nearby sell beer & wine.

Not sure if you would be able to shop at the Duty Free store...

Why bother with a liquor store you can buy it right on the ship. I personally don't drink but my parents do and they were on our last cruise they said the alcohol direct from the store (the store was just pass the front desk) was far cheaper then at home, just don't order from room service that's where you'll pay/

If you purchase duty-free alcohol onboard, you cannot drink it in your room. It will be delivered to you at the end of the cruise. I believe OP is looking for an option to purchase liquor to have for drinking in their room.

The closest ABC to MCO is at 2232 S Semoran Blvd (SR 436).

southern wine and spirits is the closest liquor store to the airport that I know of. Conway Liquor is not far either.

Is this new, my parents walked out with their purchase
That's the way it is on all the cruise lines I've been on. From the DCL website:

White Caps
Deck 3, Forward
Stop in to White Caps to shop fine jewelry trunk shows and to look for designer handbags, timepieces and fragrances. Guests over age 21 may browse the wide assortment of tax- and duty-free liquors and premium cigars. Please note that liquor purchased at White Caps cannot be consumed onboard; we will deliver those purchases to your stateroom the last night of the cruise.

If they were able to bring their liquor directly out of the shop to their room, they were pixie-dusted. Or it was the last night of the cruise.

It must be because it was our last night

I just spoke with an employee at Cape Canaveral Liquors today, and they deliver to port! You email them your order, then they call you to get credit card info. When you get to the port, you call them and they run your order over to you. There is a $30 minimum order and $10 delivery fee. I'm putting an order together today for our cruise at the end of the month.
