Is there a hotel that is clean, cheap, near Uni & Free Breakfast?

Hi all ... need a place to stay one night before heading over to RPR. I'd like it to be "nice" as in clean and non-smelly but we are only staying one night so who cares about the rest?

A free breakfast would be a great bonus!

I looked at the "Best/worst" thread but most of the places with the "best" votes are more expensive ... like if I were staying a week ... the others seem to have conflicting information.

Input from recent visitors?

Thanks

Well this place is actually closer to Sea World but try the Hawthorn Suites Orlando at Sea World. It's on Westwood Blvd. They have 1 Bedroom suites with kitchenettes and a seperate bedroom with 2 full size bed.The living area has a sleeper sofa. They have a pool/jacuzzi,free breakfast and transportation to Disney. It was clean and basic and it suited our needs for a couple of nights. We got our suite for $69 nite at quikbook.com
If your looking for 'fancy' or a place with 'updated' features then this is not the place for you....Just to let you know.
We liked it there and plan on staying again in the future. Trip Advisor has alot of good reviews on this place.

The Microtel Inn and Suites on Canada Avenue is one block off International Drive not too far from Universal Blvd. We stayed there for $44.00 a night through Hotel Kingdom for a couple of days. The hotel is only 2-3 years old. It's a very basic hotel but the beds are of good quality and it is very clean. They offer a free continental breakfast each morning. Very small pool, but as you're moving over to RPR the next day, that won't matter.

We had a good stay with the AmeriSuites directly across the street from Universal. Just walk across. We've stayed AmeriSuites many times across the country and are always pleased - plus they have a kitchenette, living area, interior hallways, and breakfast usually. Plus you can get pretty good rates.

I 2nd the person above me on Amerisuites. These are by far the best in that area. We have stayed at the Hampton Inn just up the road from there and they are nice too. But STAY AWAY FROM THE DAYS INN. And the Amerisuites have nice breakfast.

Also you can look on www.roomsaver.com and get a discounted room coupon. We use it all the time. And there is a TGIF in the Holiday Inn right next door. Which is also a decent hotel too.
