is there a Guest Relations at DHS? The first park I am heading to this time is DHS and I want to speak with Guest Relations regarding the DAS (which I had last time). Will my DAS be on file from last year? Where is Guest Relations at DHS?

all the park have a GR at them

Your DAS should be on file

GR is to your left as you enter

Do they have you repeat your reasons for DAS need or if it was recent do they just reactivate? We went just last year when I got the DAS in the new system that keeps track.

they have been keeping track since they started with the DAS ( or they have since I started using it a few months after it was started) some CM do ask why I need one some do not I have not found why some ask and some do not but I do find I need to say much less than the first time I got it.

We got a DAS for my mom in March. We weren’t even asked why we needed it. I just said, “We’d like to request a DAS for my mom” and the CM started the process.

I really wish CM would stop doing this. I am not saying your mom does not need a DAS but some people ( I know some personally think that becuse they have a disability like they use a wheelchair they need a DAS). Last few trip the FP lines were too long for me to handle and I had to wait behind more people needed DAS return times then I ever had. Ok sorry for the rant and sorry to go OT

Op I would just be ready to say why you need a DAS but there will be a good chance you will not need too ( you know if prepared you will not need it if not prepare you will need it type of thing )

My mom, in fact, does need a DAS. I use a wheelchair and do not. I have never requested one for myself because my needs are met with my chair. Please stop assuming that everyone is trying to game the system.

Oh no not saying anything about you or your mom I just wish GR would ask why even if it was obvious that the person need one.

I know a GR CM since she was in middle school and she told me it upset her when other GR CM do not ask for the guest needs for the DAS she has had a few fellow CM cry back stage becuse gust were so rude and demanding of getting a DAS that now CM will just give them out to anyone. This is what upsets me and I have been behind some of theses people when I went to renew my DAS at the MK. I was just replaying to your posts becuse it reminds me of when the CM I know told me about the DAS. and the fact I feel the DAS is going the same way as the GAC is. I meant nothing toward you or your mom I know there are a lot of reading why someone would need a DAS I just wish the CM would take the 2 or so minutes and say what are your concerns in line? Is all

I don’t think anyone was saying your mom didn’t neee one, but there plenty of unscrupulous people who ask for one when they don’t need it . Handing them out as they did with your mom, without any assessment as to whether she needed one or not encourages those unscrupulous guests.

When we requested one for our son, we were asked why specifically after I told her why we needed one. So yes, don’t assume there will be no questions asked as to why you need one. I think for some people the reason might be obvious and that’s why they don’t ask? Who knows.

Like I said before I have heard from a GR CM that some CM do not ask. I have been behind guest that just say I need one of those disability passes and I have friends that use the DAS pass and dose not need one I am just saying I think everyone should explain their needs for it even if it is obviously why they need one. Again this is my opinion you might disagree with it.
