Is there a grocery store fairly close to POFQ?

I know we can pick up stuff in the gift shop, but we will have a car and I would like to stop by a grocery store once or twice to take advantage of more reasonable prices.

There is a Goodings grocery store at the Crossroads near DTD. However, they are pretty expensive. We always go to Target in Kissimmee to get our snacks.

We have stayed at PO-FQ before and used the Publix supermarket in Kissimmee. If you leave WDW by Epcot Center Drive (going east) you will be on FL 536. Cross over I-4 and go to the intersection with FL 535. Take a right and go down that road. Publix will be on the left just before US 192. I don't know if it is the closest (Goodings is closer) but they do have normal prices and not Gooding's tourist gouging.

Definitely avoid Goodings. It may be the cloest store to WDW, but the prices are ridiculous. My brother-in-law shopped there and came out with a $50 bag of groceries that would have cost him $30 back home.

I've heard that there is a grocery store about a half mile from Goodings that is more reasonably priced. Basically, if you are coming from the Downtown Disney area, go down the Hotel Plaza Blvd. If you go straight, it leads you to Goodings. If you take a left instead, you'll be heading towards the other grocery store. It's about a half mile down on the right hand side. I believe it's a Winn Dixie.

Thanks for the info. How far of a drive is it to the Target? Do they carry cold items like milk and juice?

There is a new super Target in Kissimmee (192) off 535 which is not very far from DTD. I almost forgot about the grocery store in Little Lake Bryan right in back of the Orlando Premium Outlet. To get there, go down 535, under I4 and take a left. The outlet is right on I4 so you can't miss it. That would be closer than Target.

There is also a Publix up by the Premium Oulets on Vineland Ave.
