Is there a Golden Corral near Universal?

I had read on some review that a person went to the Golden Corral, but not where they were staying. We are staying at the Doubletree on Major Blvd. if that helps. I would be willing to take a taxi if it means eating at the Golden Corral, but I don't want to spend a fortune on the taxi! TIA!

There is one just behind the shopping plaza on the corner of Sand Lake/I Drive . It used to be very good but recent reviews suggest it has gone downhill a bit. It's 5-10 mins max from your hotel.

There is one right by your hotel, next to Walgreens on Kirkman and between Major and Vineland. No need for taxis. It is less than 5 minutes to walk.

We stayed at the Best Western Universal Inn which is right next door to the Doubletree and Golden Corral was part of the strip mall that shared the parking lot with our hotel.

I wouldn't suggest eating there though...we ate there once and it was not pretty afterward

We ate at this one, and must say for our first time, at any of these restaurants it was not bad, a security guard at Citywalk recommended it to us and said lots of locals eat there, and like Phantom said no need for taxi.

Is this walking distance from RPR?

We stayed at the RPR and went to the Golden Corral last year. We took a taxi, but walked back. It was a pleasant 10 minute walk.

We thought it was good. It was your typical all-you-can-eat buffet.

Thanks, I'm just looking for another breakfast buffet place that is cheaper than Islands Dinning room and close.:thumbsup2

I honestly think that Golden Corral has a great breakfast buffet.

I went to the Kirkman Rd. location near the Walgreens last month. It seemed to me to be a little below par for Golden Corral, but still a good value. This was the dinner buffet, though; the breakfast buffet may be better. I like to do the nuttier rides in the morning and thus tend to steer clear of breakfast buffets in general. :)
