Is there a general consensus on AKV value?

Is it assumed to be something that will be in demand b/c of the low points? If I want to book 4 nights AKV value in mid-august '08 Sunday-Thurs. would you recommend calling on a day by day basis at the 11 month mark or do you think that I would be okay by calling just once 11 months from check-out day. I'm hoping I won't feel the need to call day by day, because I will be on vacation at WDW this year, when I would need to be calling, but if I have to, I will. I know it is all speculation at this point, but since we are new members I have no way of making an informed guess on this except by asking those who have more knowledge!

I don't think AKV has been taking reservations long enough to get an accurate "feel" for the best strategy yet, so I would go day by day to be safe. I just did it to switch from SSR to AKV Value studio for Easter 08 with no problems.

I don't think we know and there isn't a consensus as to what to expect. Personally I think AKV will be as high in demand as BWV with the appropriate difficulties in booking for about half of the year. There are those that think it will be fairly low in demand and I suspect, many in between. I think most are in consensus that some unit types will be tough, esp value rooms and concierge and likely the 3 BR as well. I think if not getting something will be a problem, I'd call day by day and not chance it.
