My brother and his fiancee are getting married at the end of the year and are planning to go to Hawaii for their honeymoon. They already have a week planned on the Big Island so I offered to give them 4 days at Aulani (if I can get it). Just wondering if there are any fees associated with booking for non-members. TIA.

No, you just put their name on the reservation when you book it.

I know some timeshares charge a fee for putting the reservation in a name other than the owner's. (My parents have to pay a small fee, for example, when they give us one of their Marriott weeks to use.) DVC does not charge a fee for doing this. As the previous poster indicated, you just need to provide their names and contact info when booking.

Since the OP is talking specifically about Alunai, though, I'll mention the Hawaii Transient Accommodations Tax. Everyone staying at the Alunai resort on points must pay a cash tax, which is based on the number of points used to make the reservation. Doing some quick math from the points charts and Hawaii Transient Accommodations Tax chart on the member web site, it looks like the tax for 2012 is about 22 cents per point. You pay this at the resort.
