I see a lot about the cricut on the board, but other than knowing that it is a cutting tool, I don't know much. I use a sizzix (the older model). The cricut seems to be a lot easier and versatile. Is there a former thread anyone could link me to?

Thanks

www.cricut.com has everything you need to know about the machines. There are also message boards for asking questions (in case someone here doesn't know the answer) and people post pictures of some pretty incredible work. Check it out:).

we should probably start a thread. I need to gather some questions and answers from my fellow cricuteers.

Buffy the questions from me should be flying shortly...........................:lmao: I can't follow directions and then do it to save my soul I have to have them read to me and then I do it. With DH and 1 DS with reading issues that's not gonna happen in my house!!!!!!! other DS is just learning to read.

So if you started with a set up blade depth/changing and then a getting started tips I'll be there in a heart beat. 1 tip I can add is the Pamperchef stoneware scrappers work great to peel things from the mat and the PC roller is great for making the paper stick figured those to out on my own!!!!
Any help you give will be wonderful and apprciated by this new bug owner!!!

Thanks for the link. I'll surf on over.

If you do start a thread for "newbies" My first question would be What do you have to buy in order to use it? A machine, mat. cart, certain paper, etc. But I'm checking out their website and they should have those answers

The only thing you need to start is to buy the machine (it comes with a blade, a cart, and a mat) and cardstock or patterned paper.... The baby bug comes with George and the E-Bug comes with a different cart, although both machines have bundles that include more/other carts

Thank you Faerie. That was my main question. From what I've seen on their website, it looks great.
