Is there a DVC discount for US day trips?

Disney is making a US day trips harder and harder with the 7 day pass, AP discount, and now ME is to good to be true so why rent a car. Anyway we will be at BCV in June and were wondering what options we (8 of us) have to get over to US for a day such as car rental locations and DVC rates etc. I doubt there is a US shuttle from BCV.

I think you can take a taxi, or make arrangements with Mears for a van/shuttle.

Thanks Chuck, I looked up Mears and it has a shuttle up to 11 to attractions. I will ask on the Transp board what the cost has been.

For 8 people, I think you'll find it is less expensive to rent an 8 passenger van for the day. Since you are staying at the BCV, check out prices for either ALamo or National. There's an Alamo/National rental desk in the Dolphin. We rented a car for a day on our recent trip - it ws very convenient as we were staying at the BWV.

Thanks Carol, I like that idea and will look into that. The US board recommended "Sunray" shuttles also ($70 for up to 10).
