Is there a better way to split this?

Is there a better way to split this? We are doing 11 nights in total, in September - 7 nights WLV and 4 nights Vero. The kids really want to do Vero and very excited about the Beach but, I don't know if we have the split right.

We want to spend 4 days in the parks and relax in between as it will be our first day at VWL. We won't be returning to WDW for 20 months after this, so I am keen to do at least the four days in the parks. But, now I am wondering if we have the split right. Would cutting our stay at WLV short and just doing the parks then staying longer at Vero be more relaxing than the way we are doing it now, or would any longer than 4 nights be too much time at Vero? Thanks.

I find hanging out around WLV almost as relaxing as VB.. I absolutely LOVE the lodge.. Espescially the hot tubs at the quiet pool at night. If I were you I would just be sure and plan some 'hang out' time around the lodge or the other disney pools / resorts and not try to cram a ton of park hopping into every day... OMHO.

We haven't stayed at VB, but I agree with dougmatt. 4 nights at VB seems like plenty to me.

Since you won't be back for 20 months (my gosh, how will you survive that???), you will want to make sure you see as much of the WDW parks as possible. 7 days is plenty of time to do that and still relax a lot.

Personally, I'd trim a day at VB and put another one at VWL. There's a beach there too! ;)

We've been to VB twice - the first time for 3 nights and the second for 4 nights. IMHO, 3 or 4 days at VB is just right. In fact, it was just a little long for me because I do not enjoy hanging out at a pool or beach for long periods of time. And that is the major attraction of the resort, IMHO.

VB is absolutely beautiful - but I would not want to stay there more than 4 days. I'd rather be at WDW, because there are so many other options/activities to choose from if I get tired of just hanging at the resort or visiting the parks (does that ever happen??:D )

Whatever you decide, I'm sure you and your family will have a good time!

But then again, I'm not much of a beach person.... :)

This way you'll at least be able to go gung-ho on the parks for the 4 days w/ rest days in between if you want. (Park day/ rest day/park day/rest day....)

Have fun!!!

I'd actually suggest to add a day at WLV and shorten the VB stay to 3 nights. we love VB, but 3 Nights is just about right after a great trip to WDW. Spend the extra day at WDW going to typhoon Lagoon orBlizzard Beach to get that extra water time. Check out and leave early for VB and get a good day in at the beach on your arrival date. Darn, wish I were leaving tomorrow.:(

Have a great trip!

Thanks everyone. Am going to do the one bedroom and as mistermouse suggested I am going to change the ressy back to eight and three nights and check out early on the last day to go to the beach. Bet the reservationists are totally sick of me by now - it is almost embarrassing calling back!
