Is there a April 2011 thread somewhere?

Since you're going during spring break and staying off site, I would get the park hoppers. That way if a park is too crowded, you have the option of going to another one.

Thanks for the advice. I've been back and forth about the hoppers. Basically, I think we'll probably need them and DH thinks we probably don't. My plan is to carefully evaluate the park schedules and crowd charts when they come out, estimate how often we'll use the hoppers and then make a decision on whether they're worth it.

Booked for April! We will be going April 14-22, and staying at POP! Got the DDP and 6 day base tickets. Looking now about getting over to see the Harry Potter for a day. Anyone know the easiest way to do that? We have NEVER ventured offsite.....kinda scarey:lmao: Happy planning to all the April goers!

We are the 15th-23rd at Pop!:cool1:
See ya in 8months :laughing:

see you there lovinpooh! Anyone know the best way to get to Universal to see Harry Potter? Buy tickets and Mears shuttle transfer seperately? Combined ticket? Where to purchase? Other than that I have to make our ADR list of where we want to eat:goodvibes I will be there with my DH and our two boys 12, and 10.

planning on going 4/1 - 4/9 POP, still in planning mode though, we have early spring break too, so hoping crowds will be smaller. Have only gone in Jan/Feb and Oct, so not quiet sure what to expect in April.

We usually go the last week of April into the first week of May, but Easter has really thrown a wrench in our plans!

We want to avoid May weather, Easter crowds and Spring Break crowds, so it looks like we'll have to cram ourselves in the first or second week of April.

Too bad the free dining plan isn't being offered then. :sad2:

We're super excited because this will be my son's first visit! He will be 17 months old (10 months now). I can't wait!

My husband's parents and sister are coming along as well, so this will be our first group trip. I suspect it will be a lot of standing around taking pictures of my son as he experience WDW for the first time. :lovestruc

I have no idea where we'll be staying but it will definitely be on site.

got the trip dates finalized and booked our ressies.....now the waiting starts, waiting for april hours to post, our 180 day to hit to make ADR's.
to start our disney count down went to the store today and each bought two new t-shirts and water bottles to celebrate!!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

airfare booked...package booked...now trying to decide where to eat!!! We will stick with some old favorites, and try to pick a few new spots to try. Thinking of Via Napoli.....and a breakfast buffet...we have the basic dining plan so we need 8 adr's....where are all the other April planners:confused3 the crowd calendar is all 10's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its going to be cozy that's for sure:lmao:

Anyone planning to book a fireworks cruise? Maybe a few of us can share it the dates work out.

This will be my boyfriend's first trip. I'm trying to wow so he'll want to return, but have to keep the costs down.:confused:

The Illumanations and Wishes cruises will wow him, but the price tag will kill him.:rotfl: Sharing will work best for us.

Made our airline ressie's today....:crowded: we don't care, we're going to see Mickey!!:banana:
Will also be celebrating my DD 11th Bday and I am surprising her by taking her to Discovery Cove and swimming with the dolphins:dance3: can't wait to see her face when she finds out, I know I'll be getting a BIG :hug:

Couldn't pass on the FD, so we've moved our dates! Hope you all have a super trip in April!

maybe April won't be as crowded because of everyone moving their trips to the Free Dining time period? :lmao:Anyone know when park hours will be posted?

They usually post 6 months before, so Oct 1st!

That would be great... I am keeping my fingers crossed ;)
I considered moving my dates for it to save money. But only April works for us. That gift card and dining is just too good!

I’m in for April! The kids and I are going April 2-10 for their birthdays :cake: I see that quite a few other people on this thread are planning for those dates too! :yay: Everyone, please come on by my PTR and see what I have planned so far! And if anyone else starts one, please let me know. I want to see how other people plan for a trip in April in the peak season - with all of the crowds and the heat! The kids and I usually go in November, so April will be big change for us!

Count us in!

We're booked for April 7th-17th at Animal Kingdom Villas-Jambo House! Woo hoo!!!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I was actually planning on going in early-mid May, but DS really pushed for April and my bday is the 7th, so I figured we'd just go for it! We've been in February (chilly), May (hot), and July (HOT and rainy) but when we've been in April, the weather was just right. Crowds can be a beast, but we're prepared for that.

:crowded::cool2::crowded:

It's good to see I'm not the only one out there already planning a trip that's still 7 months away. My family thinks I've gone a little nuts! I've been a BIT obssessed lately, but can you blame me? We used to go once a year, and by the time we go on this trip, it will be almost 5 years since our last trip!

:eek:

DS is graduating from high school this year, and this will be our DDs 1st trip. She'll be 25 months at the time of the trip, but she's a former 1 lb 2 oz micropreemie, so she's super tiny still. Only 17 lbs at 18 months! She doesn't walk yet (more on that in my upcoming PTR) but we're hoping she'll be taking some steps by the time we hit the World!

Happy planning everyone!

We changed our dates - now March 26 - April 2, but since that has a bit of April I guess I can still chat here ;) My sister and her boyfriend are going to a wedding in Daytona om 3/25 and then Disney for 5 days, so we're going to have some fun with them!!!

Hoping to go the week before Easter. That is are spring break up here. Staying at Pop are Port Orleans Riverside.

we have made some changes to our ressies!!
now going 3/26 - 4/9

arriving 3/26 driving up to GA to see dear family friends
back to WDW 3/29 (my DD 11th bday) to 4/6 at POP
