Is there a April 2008 code watch thread? **This seems to be it!!

I hope you have already made resort ressies, when I called to inquire about discounts, POR was booked, all that was available was Family Sites at ASMusic. I tried to add a day to my April 7-11 ressies and CM said everything was booked up. I was able to get a code added to my ressie, and saved $350.00.

Yep ALL the mods and Deluxes are booked for those dates (6-12). Values have availability though.

I got an e-mail from Disney Destinations with a special offer for March 30 - May 21 - free Park Hopper and Water Parks and More upgrade. I know some of you have been waiting for this. Unfortunately, we already have tickets. The e-mail also mentions calling for room only discounts, but all the CM could find room-only for my week was Saratoga Springs (I didn't ask the price - we like CSR). We are going April 5-12 - the CM said the resorts are slammed!

The offer had a unique PIN, so I hope all of you who want it get it!

I don't know the code, I just called and the CM did some checking and found the code by my name, so I can't help you. I would just say to call and ask, it never hurts and you may be pleasantly surprised the way that I was.

Maybe you could get the upgraded tickets and save the others for another trip, or maybe you could somehow upgrade the ones you have with the code? Never hurts to ask. When you arrive you may also be able to put the value of the tickets toward AP. I found in the past that I am sometimes pleasantly surprised when I just ask.

Thanks for the ideas - I thought about that. We already have hoppers that we have used part of. It's possible we would do a water park, but I'm not sure. I'm just not crazy about spending an extra $1000 on tickets when I already have them, and I don't think I can upgrade since we already used them. As far as I know, upgrades have to be done within 14 days of first use. I'm excited that I even got an e-mail - that gives hope for the future!

Someone was writing in another thread that a res. agent told her she could give her sister her code, a code she herself couldn't use, I think. What's the harm in trying to share codes with each other on here? If anyone has one they aren't using and wouldn't mind sharing, I would be happy to try and use it. I hope this doesn't stir up too much trouble!!! Our ressies are fro April 26th thru the 3rd of May.

Do you think the park hopper code is the only discount they're going to come out with for April? I know I should be happy with anything they come out with at this point but I was REALLY hoping for some sort of room discount. Any thoughts?

your renting points from a dvc owner, there is nothing that can change your price, that is what your paying the dvc owner for use of his points.
A code is not going to help you at all.

If the code applies to the resort and room type that you booked you will be able to apply it to your existing reservation. As soon as you hear about a code call and try to apply it! Good Luck!!
