I think they are turning the Star Traders Shop Alien to an NPC because you can no longer go to it from the map OR from the Emporium....

Push the trashcan, pops up randomly in guest rooms. Click on him if you see them.

There's also capturing clams in the tanks. They get a few credits, but not many. I htink they have to have 'pearls'.
