Is the Wish 3-night worth it?

Do you know if the FL resident discount applies to the Wish as well? I know about it for the other ships, but the Wish being the new shiny ship I thought they excluded it.
Do you happen to know?
I saw a few of them in September and almost booked one. Looking at the current FL resident rates it doesn't seem as though they have any however that can always change as they get closer.

Our Wish sailing (11/28) is on Military Discounts right now, so I wouldn't be surprised if we see it on Florida resident rates.

(Polite Disclaimer, we almost exclusively sail on FL Res Rates or Guarantee rates. Sadly regular pricing is more than our traditional vacation budgets)

Alas, I did not serve but friends and family have. I keep a close eye for a cousin of mine on the military discount as he is career Military and can't often check for himself.

The military rates are actually published for all on the site but proper documentation is needed when sailing.

Cool - well, just convey my thanks to your cousin ;)
As for potential FL resident discounts on the Wish, I called and they said not likely. The CM didn't think the Wish will be included in the discounts for next year..but later on, yes. And it makes sense.

No FL resident rates/discounts for the Wish. If you have a placeholder, you can use that on the Wish (sans Concierge) to save 10% on current rates.

We live a little further west than you (about an hour to the port), and we always say that 7 days are our minimum cruise length. But that being said, 2 years ago a friend planned a 3 night cruise for several of us. We were dreading it, since it's "just not worth it." On the last night, we were standing on the balcony and we agreed that a weekend cruise like that isn't so bad. Living so close, we can just throw some stuff in the bag, head down to the port, and disconnect for a couple of days. Those naps you mention are much better than anything you would get standing in line at a park.

But to be honest, despite thinking it is not a bad way to spend a couple of days, we have not done it again. Just last night, I was looking for cruises we could take in the next year and I started looking for something 8 days or longer. I think what it comes down to is on paper it looks awful, too short, and a waste. Then when you're there it's still a Disney cruise and it's wonderful.

If you end up doing it, let me know so I can motivate to do it again.

So I was pricing out three nights at WDW staying at Allstar resort (value) and three day park hopper passes for FL residents in January from Friday to Monday. The cost of room and tickets without any food was about $300 less than a cruise on a placeholder on the wish on an inside stateroom.

To me at that point just hop on the ship.

That is crazy that it's that close. That makes the ship a much better value in my opinion.

Yes I was looking at 1/13/23-1/16/23 Friday to Monday!

Inside stateroom on wish with 10% placeholder discount on deck 7 midship was coming in around 2k with gratuities.

The WDW was $1655 but no food and Allstar resorts room is no DCL room.

Plus less hassle on Wish than at the theme parks!

So another $72 parking if you drive to the port and you're done? Wow.

Food is another couple hundred bucks, and like you said you're not in the DCL room. I hate to say it, since I love WDW, but WDW is not relaxing at all.

I do not know about the OP, but this has me convinced to get on another weekend cruise.

Literally we just did a three night as two of us. Taking the kids on a three night before Christmas (when they are out from UCF) and now trying to convince my wife to go this holiday weekend in 2023.

We did a three night to celebrate our anniversary and I was actually surprised at how much I felt I got out of the cruise for how short it was. Especially if you get an early PAT, you can do a lot with embarkation day, and then we just didn't get off the ship at any of the ports so we felt like we got a good amount of time on board. I agree, the key is to look at it as a weekend away and not go in with expectations that you have to do All The Things. I think you have to try pretty hard to not enjoy a Disney cruise, no matter the length!

I can’t speak about the Wish as we haven’t sailed on her yet. But for us, three nights is just too short. We travel 12000 kilometers, almost 7500 miles, just to get to Orlando, so anything less than a week, or B2B, is too short.

Wholeheartedly agree with you on this. I can't imagine doing less than 7-nights but otoh it's very appealing (a blessing truly) to live close to the port. So appealing that it feels you're wasting the opportunity of being that close to port and not sailing as much as possible, if finances allow, of course.
I booked the 3-night for my DD's birthday and we'll see how it feels. But as you said, just sailing with DCL is really a Magical experience regardless.

Of course, traveling from that far away anything less than a 7 night would be almost cruel.
When I travel outside of North America, the minimum stay is a week, even if it's for work. No way I'd go on a 7+ hour flight (Europe) or 10+ hour one (Asia, Australia, Middle East) for less than 10 days.
On our WBPC last March, I met fellow cruisers that flew from Japan(!) and Australia(!!!!). A 14 night PC cruise is totally worth it regardless of how long your flight is.
You should try doing that sailing. It's an experience of a lifetime!

Just back from a 3-night on the Wish 11/4-7. We booked this to celebrate my birthday (6th) but otherwise would much prefer a 4-night or longer cruise. Since it was a special occasion, we splurged on concierge. Really enjoyed the cruise. But again, I'd prefer a longer one.

Happy birthday - I assume you meant 60 and not 6? ;)
