We've had the opportunity come up to take a "quicky" vaca the week of April 11th - will I be overrun by teenagers on spring break?

I know April 15th starts the flower show, so will the week before be quiet? Can anyone give me an idea of what kind of crowds I'm looking at for that week?

Thanks!

Denise

I say go for it! I think most of the Spring breaks will be quieting down by then (not sure). In april the weather warms up and the flower show is nice. We're going April 25 - May 2.

Can't wait! You'll have a blast regardless so GO FOR IT!!

I know I'll just loving being there - but I travel with a rather large "kid", who doesn't like to wait in lines. I'm hoping it won't be too bad, I really want to go!

Anyone else out there know what that week is like? I think I might try calling Coronado Springs, which is where we plan to stay and ask them what their occupancy is like that week. Keep your fingers crossed, I'm getting very excited at the thought of a little Disney magic in two weeks!

Please share any info you may find on occupancy... We are also going that week (we have this week off for public school in NJ; but not many other towns near us have this week off) and are hoping for lower crowds. I know the airfares were high this week if it is an indication of bookings.

Actually, I thought the airfare wasn't too bad - $196 on Travelocity.com. I also saw plenty of options on site - Disney economy and moderates were listed, which is what made me think it wasn't so busy. I just called Coronado Springs and the lady wasn't too helpful, though she did say they were told by "management" that they'd be very busy up through April 8th. If that's the case, then we might just have a pocket of down time before the flower show to go - at least I hope so!

Just make sure to use your fast passes and you'll keep line waits to a minimum.
I still say go for it. Only 2 weeks to wait how great.

We'll also be there during the week. I don't think it will be that bad. I think most of the spring breaks were in March. If it is bad we'll just use Fastpass and keep on going. After all how bad can it be we'll be in WDW. :firefight

I'll be there the 9th to the 19th. Florida's spring break was last week and this week. Crowds should be about average in two weeks. You will still want to use FP for the big rides, and make some PS for some meals. They are still available.

We have gone for the past 3 years during this week. Crowds aren't too bad. The Magic Kingdom was a little busy last year but there was still plenty of time to see what we wanted to see and ride all the rides we wanted to go on. Also, if you are looking for something non disney to do during that week there is a gigantic airshow about a 1/2 hour away down Rt 4 in Lakeland. Go to www.sun-n-fun.org for more infomation.

I don't know of any schools in Maine that are on spring break that week. The schools up here are out the following week. :firefight

I think that is a great week to go. Offhand, I can not think of a bad week to go though.
