Is the Sleeping Beauty walk thru open yet?

As of yesterday it is still closed.

There are temporary walls around the entrance and exit to the walk through. They also have fully uniformed security standing in front of the walls. I felt sorry for they yesterday because it was 102 and they looked so uncomfortable.

When they announced it was reopening, they didn't give a specific date, but said it would open in time for the Holiday Season at DLR. I would guess that would mean sometime in late November.

Oh no, late November? I hope it is sooner than that. At least it sounds like they are still working on it, and posting guards and all. Which store or stores did they close to add the room for handicapped viewers?

Tony Baxter of Imagineering said that "before the last leaves of autumn fall, Sleeping Beauty will awake again within the castle walls,but in California that could be in January."

He also indicated that the walkthrough will not be ready for the DVD release day, which is next Tuesday. The mid-November date is internet rumor with no confirmation from Disney.

The store closed was the 3 Good Fairies Magic Crystals. It relocated over by Pinocchio and became Wishing Star Crystals or something like that.

I wish it would be open by November 13! I saw in about 2 weeks before it closed back in 2001 and I thought it was pretty neat! Sleeping Beauty is one of my favorite Disney movies!

We are going October 23rd, and my season pass expires December 29th. I would love it to open before our next trip, but if it opens before my pass expires I may be able to do a quick day run. I don't know for sure, it is a 5-6 hour car trip but I LOVE Sleeping Beauty and it is my favorite Disney Movie and character. Thanks for the responses and solving the mystery of what store they closed ( or moved ).

Just means you will have to start planning another trip in the near future in addition to your WDW trip!

All our extra money has to go to the WDW trip...we gotta get from AZ to FL either by plane or train. lol

Once our passes expire we will not renew them. We are saving all of our money for our Disney World trip next summer also!
