Is the Rep. on the phone the same as a your guide?

I phoned DVC yesterday for the first time using a friend as a referral. Their guide was out on tour at the time so I was connected to someone else to answer my questions.

Is this person now assigned as my guide? If so, can I ask to be assigned the guide of my friends instead?
 
Most likely yes that will be your Guide. They are assigned as the first person you speak with or have contact with. You can only change if you have a valid reason and speak with a manager about it. Usually they remain the same.

Same thing happened to me except my guide had the day off. I talked to another sales rep and made it clear that I would only want to do the transaction with the woman who I was originally referred to. He said fine, was helpful, answered questions and left a message for my guide to call me when she got back. I would make it clear that you had a referral and wanted to talk to the specific guide. That should take care of it. Unless you really don't care AND they still honor the referral bonus! Katherine
