Isn't it Columbus day? Just waiting on my Beauty and the Beast DVD and was thinking isn't today Columbus day? Is the post office closed?

Only have a minute, but yes, the p.o. is closed today, as well as the courthouses (at least here in Colorado), so, therefore, I have the day off. Just hopped on line to send my dd an email and thought I'd check you all out here. Have a great day! Now I am going to bake chocolate chip cookies!!!

Oh I bet I sure looked like the fool when I was checking the mailbox not once but TWICE when I was home for lunch!!!! UHHH....can you say....DUUUUUHHHHHHHH!!!!! I feel like such a dork now - no my kid is only home cause it's a school holiday!!! Can't tell that I need a vacation can ya???!!!!

Checking your mailbox isn't half as bad as the lady who knocked on the post office door where I work today.(I was putting the mail in the p.o. boxes, luckily doesn't take long at my p.o.) This woman didn't get a clue when the parking lot was almost empty. Didn't get a clue when she walked through the glass double doors(which had a holiday/closure sign on it). Didn't get a clue when the lobby door was closed with a CLOSED sign in the window. Finally got a clue when I told her (after she knocked on the clerks door), asking to mail her package. Ugh...ma'am we aren't open today. What! Oh I didn't know that......
