Is the photopass worth it? How many pics on average do you get

We got the photopass CD for our last trip. We pre-ordered for $99. We took about 500 pictures and got them all. We actively sought out Photopass photographers. I do not beleive there is a limit. You can add cute borders, etc. I thought it was worth it.
It was my nephew's first trip.

We leave for another trip in 10 days. I did not pre-order the CD this time. I think I will in the future for "first" trips.

I went to Disneyland last December and decided to take photos using the Photopass. I loved it! I was able to take as many photos as I want. The CM photographers use a pretty good camera. The locations they are at gave us a great backdrops. After previewing the photos, I decided to buy a CD. I am going to WDW in October and plan to pre-order the CD. I will still have my little point and shoot. But I think this is a great way to get professional shots as well.

I think I'm going to preorder the CD and give it a try. I know that when I get home I can add borders and autographs. Is there anything special I need to do when I have the picture taken to have autographs added when I edit them?? AND is the original picture still included on the cd after I alter and change it?? Thanks a bunch!!

We used the photopass last trip and ended up w/ over 650 pics. That being said, we did two resort photo shoots and BBB, so that upped the number. When you add banners and effects to the pics, you are able to keep all of your versions. I'm pretty sure we would do it again, although our next trip I'll be bringing my DSLR and we're not doing the shoot, so not 100% sure.

Have only used PhotoPass once but I was pretty pleased with the results. It allowed me to be able to enjoy my daughters interaction with the characters instead of me having to be the one trying to take pictures. That is my favorite thing about PhotoPass. Or course the results are about the same as taking pictures yourself (if you're not a very good photographer)...only a small percentage of the pictures turn out great but the ones that did I am so glad I have! Yes, I will use PhotoPass again.

I agree ... the pictures aren't "professional" by any means. In the past, we've also had very few great pictures and found that our pictures taken at the same time were just as good or better than the Photopass ones.

Saying that, they are good if you want the whole family in the picture, or for the added little bonuses they add to certain pictures (like holding Tink in your hand, etc).

There's no charge for the service, so I would recommend using the Photopass and having the Photopass photogs take your picture with your camera as well (which most will do).
