Hello: Heard from someone that the penguin exhibit is a tunnel. How long are you in the tunnel and if you are prone to claustrophobia would this be a exhibit to miss?

Deb.

The Penguin Encounter is not a tunnel. In fact it is a fairly open space. In front of the exhibit is a moving walkway and behind this is a slightly raised area where you can stand and look at the exhibit at your leisure.
The only attraction that has tunnel is Shark Encounter and that is only the last bit of the attraction. I don't find the tunnel at the Shark Encounter claustrophobic either. You are on a moving walkway while going through the tunnel and you can see the exit from the beginning. However, if you think you would struggle with this when you see it, you could always backtrack and leave through the entrance.

Why thanks for clarifying that. I would hate to miss a good thing. If I can see the otherside of the shark tunnel I would be okay. I would just hate to get into a situation and start getting a panic attack.

Bye,

Deb.

I am not too keen on enclosed spaces either and I do know a thing or two about panic attacks from personal experience and there is nothing at Seaworld that sets me off. I have to admit I have not done Kraken which does dive underground and I have no wish to try it either!

The underground part of Kraken is so brief you hardly notice it. It is one of the best coasters I have ever ridden. You have to try it!

I agree with Squirlz, Kraken is great. The underground part is so short that I didn't even realize that we had done it. I asked when we were going below, and my kids told me that we already had!:rotfl2:
