Is the orbitz/ebates deal no more? Is way.com the way to go?

We did the Ebates/Orbitz deal to buy our tickets last year and I was just looking to do it again. Is it gone now? Any other tips for ticket deals?

I thought it was strange that the tickets on Orbitz just disappeared at the end of the year. Not just the extra day tickets, but all tickets. I can't find anything listed:confused3. The best deals I see now are through way.com and LMT club. It depends on how many days you want which is the better deal. You do need a membership on LMT club, but several coupon code sites always have codes for a free membership.

One interesting thing on LMT in the fine print. It says the tickets are refundable if they haven't been picked up. Very different from everywhere else that says they're non-refundable.

There baaaackkk...orbitz has the free extra day tickets back on their site.

They are there, maybe they were gone while they reset things for the new year? Either way, they are a great deal, and don't forget to link through Ebates as others have talked about here. This article http://thecreativealternative.com/ebates-cashback-online-purchases/ tells more about Ebates and how to get cashback from Orbitz along with other places too.
Have a great trip to Disneyland!

It looks like the 3 day w/1 day free is the same price as way.com's 4 day. Is it just bc of the ebates that makes this a better deal, or am I looking at the price wrong? Just want to make sure that I'm getting the best price. And these do include a MM, right?
Thanks!

This may be a dumb question but does anyone know if you can apply the cost of these tickets to an annual pass membership at Disneyland?

Yes, it is only the 10% cash back from ebates that makes it the better deal, and yes they include a MM.

Tickets from orbitz are up-gradable. Occasionally way.com sells tickets cheaper than their typical tickets that are not up-gradable, but they list that in the fine print. I don't believe they have any of those tickets currently on their site.

Thank you! I'm going to go ahead and purchase them tonight, it saves $245 for the 5 of us, so that will take care of a couple of nice dinners there!

Has anyone been able to get onsite hotels at Orbitz? I'm looking at 2 trips this year (April and July) and can't find any hotel availability for either one, in any of the onsite hotels. I've been looking for months, and the rooms are available through Disney, so it's not a 'sold out' issue. Has Disney prevented Orbitz from booking rooms, because Orbitz was allowing the use of discount codes?

I don't know the answer to this, but I've wondered about it too:confused3. Looks like onsite hotels are only available through March. I wonder if disney only allots remaining rooms to Orbitz a couple months out. Maybe they'll become avaliable as time goes on, I hope so. Those 30% off discount codes were fabulous:cheer2:.

Another question for those who have purchased tickets through Orbitz. Did you get Orbucks (loyal points) awarded to your account, or are those only for hotel stays?

**edited to answer my own question-No, orbucks are only for hotels and flights:(

Okay, that's good to know that they have them for closer dates. I'll keep checking. Right now I have 10% off AAA discount booked through Disney for April, but that's it. Recently, I was able to book Beach Club at WDW for June through Orbitz, and they were taking discount codes on that one.

Last year we got 15% off thru Ebates on the Orbitz tkts. Right now it says up to 10%, and it breaks down as 10% on activities reservations, or 1% on activities packages. If someone does purchase these soon, will you please let us know if Ebates awarded you the 10% or the 1%?

Also, last year there was a use by date on the tkts. I'm not able to see that date anywhere in the description on Orbitz. Has anyone been able to confirm the use by date with Orbitz? That's my big concern right now.

Has anyone bought tickets through ebates and Orbitz to know if it is the 1 or 10% this year?

I recently went through this exercise and selected way.com. Essentially the same price, but I essentially gave up a "free day" that I wasn't going to use anyway. I don't trust ebates, as NONE of the ebates I tried over the Christmas holiday posted to my account. Whereas I KNOW what way.com is going to cost.

I've also had some problems with ebates in the past, although most of my credits have posted. Once, I contacted ebates and they said they would credit me for the missing amount, but I had to send in a few things to prove purchase and I decided for that small amount I wouldn't bother. But for this, it will be well over $100, so if there is a problem, I definitely will follow up. I took a screen shot of the confirmation from ebates just in case.

There is evidently a 4 ticket limit, so I had to purchase 1 in a separate transaction. I used ebates for both, so I will update on the percentage back as soon as it posts to my account, usually in a couple of days. Even if it is just 1%, that's 1% better than way.com, so I figured there was nothing to lose.

I haven't been able to find a "use by date" anywhere in the ticket description, and I know last year there clearly was one stated. For those of you who have purchased in the past week, does your email voucher list a "use by date"? Thanks.
