Is the mouse part of Dell's warranty?

I know this is petty, but we've just had so many problems with this crazy computer from the beginning that this is further ticking me off. So, I get it - the warranty only covers hardware. Is the mouse hardware? It's about 5 months old and quit working correctly yesterday. It either will doubleclick when I click once. Or it just won't click at all. Or you have to push it really hard to get it to click. I know they don't cost a lot, but just curious if it would be covered under the warranty. We've got a one-year warranty on the system.

I have a suggestion for you. Check to be sure it's plugged in all the way. I only say this because I get real angry at mine not working from time to time, and without a fail, the connection is loose!!!!

Hope this helps!!!

It could also be dirty. If it is an optical mouse, you need to clean the lens every so often, if you've got a dirty environment. If it is a mechanical mouse (with a ball on the bottom), you need to open the compartment (hold onto the ball! :)), get some canned air and clean out the inner compartment with some gentle bursts of air.
