I know the "bigger" ferryboats (MK->FW or EPCOT/DHS->resorts) are W/C accessible as we've used them before with our DS15's W/C; but, is the MK->GF resort launch accessible?

We've got ADRs for Narcoosee's on one of our MK nights, and I've read here on the DIS that the GF launch would be faster arrival and departure than the monorail due to Narcoosee's placement practically on the launch dock.

But, placement doesn't do us any good if we can't get DS's W/C onto the launch in the first place! :)

No I don't think it is. Its a little craft with a narrow entrance and you have to step down into the boat. Once you are on it there is very little room to move about, just enough to move to a seat and sit down. Even strollers have to be folded. Also because of the shape of the craft, it sort of curves round at the sides, there are only a few inches or so that actually make contact with the dock, just enough for you to step over on to the land/boat. There is a nice walk way from MK to GF that wouldn't take very long or its the monorail.

If the person in the wheelchair can get onto the boat without the chair and then somebody else can fold the chair and carry it onto the boat then you can go by boat. If even one of these things can't be done then you'll have to stick with the monorail.

There's a walkway from MK to GF? When did that happen and where is it?

I think the poster was thinking of the walkway between Contemporary and MK. That is a nice walk.
There was just a thread about a month ago talking about how nice it would be IF the walkway between MK and GF was complete. From what I understand, it would need a bridge to go over the water where the boats come from 'backstage'

The boat is small, as clanmcculloch and queendisney posted.
There are some pictures and information about the different boats in one of the posts on the disABILITIES FAQs thread. That thread is near the top of this Board, or you can follow the link in my signature.

Thanks for all the information, folks ... looks like it's the monorail for us! :thumbsup2
