I will honestly say that Leslie was not my favorite among the cruise directors--not sure what it was but after 11-days, DH and I found ourselves rolling our eyes a fair bit at her voice.

She cannot be worse than "Hi! I'm Amy! And you're AWESOME!" who I had to deal with on Royal's Radiance in Alaska. OMG it was like nails on a chalkboard AND sticking hot needles under my nails every time she was in earshot.

That does sound annoying. How have you found the DCL cruise directors to be overall?

Well, my favorite is now shoreside in charge of entertainment. I don’t remember who I had on the Fantasy in Feb 2015 - I guess that is better than being annoying, but not remembering his name isn’t fantastic. Clayton was ok on the Magic in Feb 2017.

Long time lurker here! We were on the 5-night cruise to Bar Harbor and Canada and I have to agree about Leslie. I thought she was perfectly nice and friendly, but I got annoyed with her talking at the beginning and end of every show. I thought she talked a bit too much and would have rather just gotten on with the shows! We much preferred our previous cruise director on the Dream and Fantasy (I can't remember his name though).

We boarded the 5 night Canadian Cruise, just back yesterday. Yes Maria most definitely affected us, night one sailing north was the rockiest experience yet, others in my cruise group agree. We tendered with a couple in Bar Harbor day that have been on 16 cruises and said night one was their second worst night ever. Some people said they heard reports that there were 50 foot swells? Not sure if that's true but our closets were swaying back and forth all night long and at times I felt like I was going to fly out of my bed. Cove Cafe reportedly had broken dishes and apparently Cabanas was crazy and lots of broken things in there as well. We stayed in for breakfast but we got 1 hour of sleep, the entire ship was exhausted the following day. The rest of the cruise was like sailing on glass but night one was everyone's worst nightmare when it comes to rocky boats.

We were on the same cruise! This was only our 3rd cruise so I wasn't sure how "normal" the rockiness was. It was crazy! Our closet door was slamming open too (I think they probably were all over the ship). Our 3-year-old couldn't have cared less though; she slept through the whole thing and wasn't a bit concerned. Glad to hear this isn't the norm for most cruises!

Awww...we loved Lesley! She was really personable when we would see her walking around and took a minute to talk to us as we were getting ready to leave for an excursion. She is now tied with Christiaan as my favorites. Love that they both seem easy laughing at themselves and appear to be good sports.

Have an amazing time! Perfect weather today too! Supposed to be 80 later on (70 right now I think) and mostly sunny. Mind you it's humid, but can't complain.

Just got back from the 10/2 Canada coast. Leslie was fine. Had a bit of a technical difficulty during the Dreams show when the music didn't start on time prior to 'This is Love' segment. The actors were pros and froze in place before quickly exiting stage right after what seemed to be a pre-determined period of time (or the director was hissing at them )

Leslie came out and gave us a little song and dance (metaphorically) while they rebooted the music system. A few moments later, it was up and running and we finished the show. While Peter is our favorite cruise director, Leslie is a close second.

The pics with the sunlight on the World Trade Center is amazing!

These were taken yesterday from the NJ side of the Hudson - Pier A in Hoboken. It was a beautiful day, and I loved capturing the Magic with the Freedom Tower.
I was not the only one, there was a small crowd of about 15 or so "fans" who snapped away. There was one lady wearing a DCL denim jacket. She was appropriately dressed for the occasion!
