I know this is kind of a silly question but my kids will only eat Kraft mac & cheese. I think this is pretty common because I often see chain restaurants specifying Kraft on their menus. With the new limited menus, I'm going to be in trouble if its some sort of creamy mac & cheese as I don't see much else on there that they will eat.

I believe WDW makes thier mac and cheese from scratch. I remember seeing a food network/travel channel show and the chefs were having a contest judged by children on which restaurant had the best mac and cheese.

No, it's definitely not Kraft. We had it on our last trip at the VWL (room service) and it was not Kraft. Kind of had a different taste, my son (7) didn't like it. To be honest, I wasn't too wild about it myself.

It wasn't Kraft but my son liked it and he is very particular. He had it at Concourse Steakhouse, Pop Century , Columbia Harbor House and somewhere else but I don't remember now.

Like the nasty coffee that is served in the majority of the restaurants on WDW property, you have Nestle to thank for the nasty mac n cheese that is served on property. While there are a couple of places on property that make mac n cheese from scratch, the majority of the of the stuff is Stouffer's which is a part of the Nestle organization.

I prefer Kraft mac n cheese! Maggie

Personally, I feel that Disney's mac and cheese is the closet to homemade I have ever had, and is the only kind I can eat out...But, I guess it all depends on your tastes...;)

I saw the same show! It was very interesting. It definately is not Kraft!

Stouffer's Mac & Cheese.

Isn't the Souffer's Mac & Cheese served in certain restaurants? I know LTT and I think Garden Grill. The Mac&Cheese I saw on the TV special was for the resort restaurants, at least that's what I thought they said. They did have kids test the different recipes to see which one they liked the best.

The Mac and Cheese at WL Artist Point/Concierge Lounge is definitely not Stouffer's or Kraft :thumbsup2

The mac and cheese at WL didn't taste like store bought to me. As I said before, it had a very different taste. It was obvious it wasn't just your typical cheddar cheese, I'm guessing a mixture of cheeses.

I also saw that special about the mac and cheese.

Totally agree. My son, also 7, loves Kraft mac'n'cheese, but he didn't like the mac'n'cheese at Columbia Harbour House at all . . . and I never really thought of him as a picky eater. :confused3

That is not true. Stouffer's is a sponsor...Disney makes the mac and cheese in house.

Some restaurants might make it from scratch, but the majority of it is Nestle's. Come in already cooked and frozen. 20 pounds to a case. You just throw the plastic bag in the steamer and 30 minutes later it's good to go!

It's the Tillamook Cheddar and Maytag Blue that gives it a different kick. pirate:

Sorry but I'd say you're going to be in trouble. It is definately creamy. My youngest wouldn't touch it. My oldest wouldn't go near it the first year she tried it but now likes it. My middle child will eat anything. I took my oldest to Brown Derby and she can be VERY picky but she LOVED the Mac & Cheese there-definately home made.
