All I know is that these vehicles and all big SUV's in fact love to park next to my little car. I can't count the number of times I find it hidden behind some enormous tank.
Gotta love capitalism, don't ya? Thank god this country still allows me over-indulge and "waste" resources. The more people that buy fuel-efficient cars, the more gas for me and my big ones.
Well see my feelings on the environment come from a higher source. Sure capitalism is great, but I believe God entrusted us to take care of what He gave us, including natural resources.
I would classify it as 'obnoxious'. I certainly don't believe in outlawing them, people should be able to drive whatever they want, and tanks are great things for soldiers to drive on duty. However, I think they look ridiculous going 20 through a subdivision in suburbia and I probably wouldn't be able to stop myself from rolling my eyes and shaking my head if it came down my street. Right before it rolled over me that is.

I don't like the Hummers. I don't like the way they look.
But, I certainly do LOVE my SUV.
I have a Chevy Blazer and so does my DH. I wouldn't drive anything but an SUV. Mainly because I can't get up my driveway without 4-wheel drive in the winter.
But, I would still drive my SUV even without the driveway scenario. My mother drives a small car (I affectionately call it "the rollerskate") and I hate getting into it and out of it and the mirrors are tiny and everything feel miniaturized.
It only costs me $20. to fill my tank every other day, too (DH and I carpool and we have an hour's commute each way). I get good mileage with my Blazer.
