It is a good show, but it is overpriced. It was totally worth it to have the blonde sitting on my dads lap rubbing his head, priceless. We've done it a couple of times through the years. We would only do it again if someone new was going with us. DS didn't like it because they took the food away too soon!:rotfl2:

I have to agree it's overpriced, although I still think it's worth it. Of course, as with anything in Disney, the place isn't cheap and is geared towards people spending money, so to begin with it's gotta fit in your budget! We wanted to go at Halloween, but we have 10 people going, and paying that all up front just wasn't feasible right now.

I also wish it wasn't sold out so much! The place normally is sold out for months during the busier times, so obviously people are willing (and able to) pay the price for it. We tried going twice last year in November and had no luck at all. Which just means that chances are we won't see any decrease in pricing anytime soon :(

Since we hadn't seen it in years, we were somewhat tempted last year when we were using the dining plan for the first time. It was two table service credits. Only problem with that was that you aren't offered first tier seating for those credits. We skipped it. We used two table service credits for the Brown Derby, which was someplace we'd never eaten before.

I voted that it was worth it. We have gone 2 times, and we love it. It is overpriced, but we go with cousin who is CM, so we get half off, so its not too bad then LOL. I take it with a grain of sand, when at Disney, we just expect to pay more for anything. Think of it this way, when 2 adults and 1 kid pay $100 to eat dinner at Hollywood and Vine (YUCK by the way) is it unreasonable to spend a little more and have a funny show while you eat some really good food.

JMHO

Yes, it's worth it occasionally; I don't think I would pay that much every trip. The ribs are good, and the show is good but it's more a one out of 5-7 trips thing.

I was not sure how to vote. We have never been because of the price, but if I saw it, I might think it's worth it. I have always heard rave reviews. I know a family that has been to Disney 20+ times and they go every time.
I think they should raise the age for what is considered to be an adult. There is no way my 11 yr old DD can eat like an adult.

Mine sure can!!!! And she's skinny as a bean pole!!!!!

never had the urge to go. I've had the buffet food from trails end, but wouldn't pay $60 for it.

Isnt there free beer and wine at the HDDR? Or is that just the BYBBQ?

I got picked back in the late 90's and I OWNED it !

I got high fives after the show because of my stellar performance. DId I tell you the story about the CM at Epcot that said I was "brilliant" ????? mind you those are his unsolicited words and he was a professional :thumbsup2

I have heard that story, and I wish I had seen it. I heard CM's talking about it on my trip last Oct. They said that you should have gotten an Oscar and a Tony!

It is included in the price, unlimited(to an extent, I would assume) But then again, you know what "assuming" does?.....;)

Yep, free beer, and our waiter this trip was determined to get me drunk, I could never get my mason jar below 1/2 and they had another there.

there is free beer, but that still doesn't make it worth it in my book for drafts of bud light. Not when I can go to Scott's trailer and get free beer.

Yet another thread that turns to a discussion about alcohol after 2 pages....:lmao:

I agree with Auntie. We went for the first time last trip, and it will probably be our last time for a LONG time! It was a total crack up, the kids LOVED it, yes there's free watered down wine and beer, and yes, it's overpriced. So, for us, it's a once in a long, long time sort of affair.

maybe you should go with like 3 or 4 of us, it would be cheaper???:lmao: :lmao:

makes me listen to loud music and eat nachos?

No...that would be the results of the other kind of buzz.
