is the early magic hour worth cancelling ADR?

We have ADR for the Royal table at 8:10 on Friday but just found out the Early Magic Hour is on a different day. Is it worth it for us to change out plans. (assuming we could get reservations) or is it not that big of a deal?

Am I reading you right...you have, CRT on a Friday at 8:10 and the MK EMH is on, say, Wed. morning? If this is the case, I would certainly keep the ADR for CRT on Friday, the non-EMH morning. That is the best case scenario. you get to wander up Main St. with very few people, you can get some great photos, then eat breakfast, and be out, in FantasyWorld just as the park opens at 9!!! Oh yes...that is my favorite scenario if I can get it worked out.
I apologize if that isn't the situation.

I would never ever again do an early breakfast at an AM EMH park. Everyone is lined up to get in the place is crazy crowded and you will most likely be late for your ADR. I am very careful to check to be sure that when I book an in park breakfast ADR it is for a day with no AM EMH.

Just echoing what the other posters are saying, keep what you've got!! If we're understanding you correctly, you've got the best case scenario.

Do NOT cancel!!!!

You will love entering the MK before everyone else!!! We have done this twice with CRT early ps times like yours and it is incredible!!!! You will enter Main St. and the only other people that will be allowed in are those with early ps times to CRT or Crystal Palace. You will feel like you have the MK to yourself!!! We have always stopped briefly on or way up to the castle to take some pictures and they turn out so well b/c no one else is in our way or in our picture! :)

Then it will be equally great after you finish up breakfast b/c you will be right in Fantasyland and have walk up choice for all those rides!!! So pick Dumbo or Peter Pan that usually have long lines and enjoy the walk on ride that later in the day you will be amazed at the long line everyone else is standing in. :) After an early CRT time like yours we are usually able to walk onto several Fantasyland rides and minimal wait on the others before the crowd comes up Main St.

Enjoy!!!!!

This is my situation exactly and from listening to all your postings, I will keep it but here is the problem then that arises from each of your responses: My husband and son are NOT going to the Royal Table. (just me and my 2 girls) so what happens to them since they can't get in? I am wondering if I should make a reservation for them at say Crystal Palace at the same 8:10. Would that work?

If they have an interested in Crystal Palace, then that might be good if you can get the same time. If not, just tell them to be at the front gate 15 minutes before opening. As soon as they let people in, have them head straight towards Fantasyland and meet up with you. You and DD can either wait for them to get to the castle or do a ride or two until they get there and then go again.

I think we all assumed your entire party would be with you. It sounds like you have solved your problem if they would like to eat a seperate meal with character at Crystal Palace. Otherwise you and your DD can enjoy a ride or two until you can meet up after the public opening.
