Is the DVC Worth It

My wife and I were fence sitters for a couple of years. I had a hard time seeing the $$$ put towards DVC as making sense, especially given the great discounts we've gotten at Deluxes in recent years... but I was finally pushed over the edge during a visit in June and we closed in July. I realized that the discounts we'd enjoyed might disappear over time... and I was right. AP and code discounts have mostly dried up since this summer as WDW marketing is now pushing the packages. I feel good about our decision every time I read the angst in the "Waiting for the Codes" threads on the Resorts Board.
