Is the DisneyWorld.com website in "testing" phase still?

Reading all of the posts about problems with the FP+ system, the Disney defenders all seem to revert back to the fact that FP+ is still in the "testing" phase and that problems should be expected. My worry with this excuse is that it sounds very similar to what I was told over a year ago by a CM who was helping me with some problems with the Disneyworld.com website. At that time the CM was helping me make/modify some reservations because I was unable to complete the process on the website. I casually mentioned how disappointing the new system was with it's slow speed and numerous deficiencies. The CM said that she had heard many similar complaints and indicated that it was in the "testing" phase and hopefully the bugs would soon be resolved. Today, approximately 14 months later, the website seems just as bad as it was back then. It's one of the slowest websites I've seen and still has many of the same bugs. I know these systems are large and have a lot of users, but you would think that a company as big as Disney with all of it's resources and finances would at least be able to show some steady progress and improvement. I really hate to say it, but if the progress that I've seen with the Disney website is any indication, the bugs that we see in FP+ are going to be around for quite some time.:sad1:

To be honest I think they have finished working on big updates for the website for now. I'm not exactly positive but I don't think there is any testing going on with the website anymore. In my opinion it has gotten better the last few months it's been working pretty good for me not many issues, of course it's not the best website in the world but for me it works just fine. FP+ is a whole different entity. It's not based on a website that can have bug issues fixed in a few minutes with a quick update. FP+ is tied to the mymagic+ system so it's all under the same roof. The bugs have not been with FP+ itself but with the application that runs mymagic+. The app just received an update last month and has improved but of course is not the best. There have been a lot of complaints about the app in the parks. I have not used the app in the parks yet but using it at home or in places with wifi it works fine for me just seeing wait times or whatever. FP+ by itself is working fine thats excluding it from the app, another big thing is that when you go to the ride you have to tap you magic band or card to the sensor which lets you in the line for the ride, this creates another line while everyone has to scan their way through. Most peoples main complaints have been with booking or changing FPs on the application in the parks. I don't think disney is going to just let these bugs be around for a while because they have put a billion dollars into this system.

I dunno, but it asked me to take a survey today when I was changing some ADRs. The survey was about site functionality, so at least they are still gathering user opinions about the website. I had actually encountered a bug/issue while switching an ADR (it allowed me to book overlapping ADRs for the same people and I had to go back in and manually cancel the one I didn't want) so I took the time to let them know.

I'm sure they are still doing surveys they do a lot of them, I haven't done any ADRs recently but when I'm looking up hotel or package pricing it's been working fine.

Don't feel too bad, the WDW website has been awful since it's inception a very long time ago. It's always been slow, gives inconsistent results from session to session, and sometimes does not work at all.

I will admit that they have improved the information available, when you can get at it.

Hasn't it been in testing mode for the past 5 years?
