So, I am planning out our vacation to Disneyland at the end of August. I have priced the package with Alaskan airlines and then with Disney. The Disney package is $197.52 more for the same hotel, flights & tickets. The Disney package comes with the extras of the toontown magic morning, preferred seating and a couple of collectible souvenirs.... is it really worth the extra $197? I'm leaning with the Alaskan airlines package and then upgrading our room at HOJOS to the Disney view. Okay you all are the experts, give me some advice!

I say no ~ in fact I bet you could do better on your own. Book your airfare separate from your hotel & buy your tix somplace else ~ GAT, direct from Disneyland.com etc. Is the ent. rate at HoJo's available for your dates?

If you do want the Toontown madness tickets, etc. you could book air-fare separate, and just book the package for the tickets and hotel.

Oh, I should clarify I have priced it out on my own and can't get close. We qualify for the kids fly free promo so total hojo 4 nights, 5 day hoppers, and airfare is $1790. Alaskan has extended the 5 day tix at the 3 day price.

Okay, so from what I'm gathering its not worth it. That's what I was thinking, but just wanted to make sure!

No that's not true it sounds like a really good price to me! We went in Jan 08. I booked everything seperate and it cost $3300. for 7 nights, 6 day tickets. For 3 adults, Dh, Dw and Dd.

Did you check your airfare without the kids fly free? Sometimes it's not that great a deal. I'm getting $200. per person airfare in October. When we did Kids Fly Free in March, I believe we paid some ridiculous full-fare price on Alaskan which would have been cheaper had we booked "hot deals" for all 5 of us. Of course, this might not be the case with your dates.

Toontown Morning madness was cute, but only my DD5 liked it. The older two thought it was "lame." :sad2: A little too much pre-teen "I'm so cool" attitude there! I wouldn't rush to do it again, myself. The characters were all mobbed with huge lines afterward. So, maybe not worth the extra? And the preferred seating only helps with Aladdin, if you go on a busy day. You don't need it for any of the other shows.

So I would say, probably not worth the extra for the package.

The whole package is 1790. Air alone for all 4 of us would be at least 225 each RT. Great deal huh???:cool1:

I think I'll skip the extras and just go with the Alaskan package... just waiting for my Disney visa to show up so I can charge it all on there and get some Disney $. Come on card, come on card.....
Also, I got a car from LAX to downtown disney for 1 day for $65.25 through Costco.... and then for the way back I got a car from DDT to LAX for $29.22. It came out even or even a little cheaper than riding a shuttle. Plus it will give us the ability to go around since DH & I met at Biola and still have friends in the area.
