Is the dining plan worth it for a family with 2 toddlers?

We went to Disney in November without a dining plan because my DD's we 3 and 2. However, I am starting to plan another trip for September and was wondering if the meal plan would be worth it since my girls will be a little older. When we were there, we did a lot of counter service because it was easier, but thought if we had the dining plan we could go to a few more table service. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks!;)

Depends on where and how you want to eat. If you are able to use all your TS credits, then I think it is still a good deal for people traveling with kids under 10. The DDP for kids is very cheap at $10 a day and a character meal or family style meal like 'Ohana alone would cover their cost for the day. My kids love the character meals and DH and I like not having to wait in line to see Mickey, Pooh, Cinderella etc... Anyway, as I said, if you can use all your TS credits, I think it would be a good deal for you.:goodvibes

Adding: Keep your eye out for free dining in September! We were able to do this last year and it was amazing!

In my opinion, the only time that the DDP is a GREAT deal is when you are travelling with kids 3-9. A character meal per day becomes a great value for kids on the DDP.

I agree!!! As long as you'll do one TS, it's a GREAT deal with kids. Those character meals are pricey OOP for the kiddos!

I have a 2 & 3 year old and I think it's a fantastic deal! You only have to buy the DDP for the 3 year old & they both can share every meal! This is our 3rd trip with the kids & we always do the DDP. For the value alone, I wouldn't plan a trip without it.

Like the others have said, at $10 a day, you really can't beat it. We did the DDP and we had 3 children. DD 10, so she counted as an adult, DD8, and DS6. We did end up with unused TS and CS that we could convert into snack credits which made awesome souvenirs and treats when we got home.
