Is the Dessert Parties at MK worth it for the Fireworks?

I have been looking at the various dessert parties for Wishes Fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. We are going in january and my husband absolutely hates crowds. Is the FerryTale boat crowded? Is there good seating at the Plaza or Terrace parties? Or are you standing? Where is the Plaza spot, is it right in front of the Crystal Palace? I have read that there isn't much seating on the boat and we would be most likely standing.

What is the bathroom situation like on the boat? What about afterwards, what is the transportation like back to the Animal Kingdom Lodge?

I also thought about doing the Spirit of Aloha and then try watching the show from the Polynesian beach but wasn't sure if that would be crowded and how the view would be.

Thanks to anyone who can answer some of my questions! I appreciate it.

I'm also curious to see the feedback on these as well. I'm looking into maybe doing the Tomorrowland Terrace / Plaza one in October.

We do them every time because we have 3 small kids who won't sit around saving a spot to watch fireworks. I probably wouldn't do it if it was just my husband and I though.

not too long ago, the price of the fireworks party for my family of 3 was about $80, but somewhat recently, the price has nearly doubled. Seats used to be assigned (even if people used to crowd the railing when the show was to start). Now, i understand, that seats are not assigned and the seats are first come first served. Which means that some people will, and you might feel obliged, to get in line for the party an hour before the gates are scheduled to open. The deserts are OK, but the line to get the desserts and the area in which they put them causes a lot of crowding and a major bottle neck. So the party (especially for those of us who wished to tour efficiently and avoid crowds) used to be marginally worth it. In its current state, i don't think it's worth it.
