Is the delux dinning plan part of free dinning when offered?

JUst wondering what dinning plan is offered for free dinning?

Just the regular dining plan is offered, but you can upgrade - that's what we did. I'm not sure if what resort you stay in affects the dining plan offered. Someone else might have some input. I just know we are staying at the POP and paid to upgrade to the deluxe plan because with small kids we wanted to have two sit down meals a day. Plus we wanted lots of character dining.

It's free Quick Service for value resorts and regular Dining Plan for all others. You can upgrade and pay the difference, the upgrade price is in one of the above stickies.

The deluxe plan has never been offered entirely free. But those who are not booking the British free dining offer can upgrade any free plan to the deluxe by paying the difference. There is a sticky thread at the top of the forum with upgrade costs.

I believe if you book the British offer you can upgrade from quick service to basic and basic to deluxe but you cannot upgrade quick service to deluxe.

The plan you get free is based on the type of resort you book. British guests get quick service at moderates and basic dining at deluxes. Guests booking through the US get quick service at values and basic dining at moderates and deluxes.

we have deluxe dinning plan for our trip from 8/31 to 9/9. Hoping the trend holde and they offer free dinning during this time just like the last several years. If they do can I keep the number of credits delux gives me and if so what do I have to do?

You have managed to resurrect a thread that is 7+ years old, and therefore contains out-of-date information.

Last year's FD offer included the QS dining plan for value and moderate resorts, and the standard DDP for deluxe resorts. You would have to pay the difference in whichever plan and the DxDDP for your stay.
