Is the capacity of AofA about the same as at POFQ?

We are thinking of trying AofA at Christmas time--we have stayed at POFQ and were wondering if the capacity was about the same considering they both only have 1 bus stop.

Thanks!

AoA has almost twice as many rooms as POFQ and most of the AoA rooms are suites, so the capacity at AoA should be significantly greater than POFQ.

From what I can find AoA has almost double the rooms as POFQ. AllEars states POFQ has 1000 guest rooms, and AoA has almost 2000 suites.

Would this mean that they would send more buses? They both have only 1 bus stop, but would AofA send more buses?

I'm not quite as worried about heading to the parks b/c we go at first light!!! :) but I'm thinking about coming home??

Thanks!

I think they would send more buses, but the line would still be longer waiting for them. The queues are all the same size, and you will still have more people in line waiting for the buses at AoA.

Consider that POFQ frequently shares bus service with POR.

Not during Christmas, though--and even when it does FQ gets the first stops. I'm thinking that the only issues may be going home from parks, and I guess if it is REALLY bad we could start doing cabs. We'd really like to try AofA even though we have only stayed at FQ and CSR--DD would LOVE the room and I think it's worth trying--the one thing that would change our mind was if the bus (during this crazy time of year) was much worse.

I would say that it is more accurate that POFQ occasionally shares buses with POR. And when they do, POFQ is the first stop both going to and coming from the parks.

Just realize that the 2 resorts you have stayed at before have some of the best bus service, and you are going to a resort that will have very busy bus service. Even though my experiences during busy times of the year tells me Disney sends out buses as fast as they can, you may still end up packed like a sardine. Or waiting a bit to get on a bus.
