We saw a good number of animals watching from the lobby windows. It’s a lovely resort. And if you’re a pizza fan, try the one at Mara….it’s one of the best I’ve ever eaten! Have a great trip!

You absolutely MUST try Boma's, both breakfast and dinner were wonderful! AKL is my favorite resort, thanks to Boma's and the pool. Try to go to the ends of the buildings to see if any animals are there. Both times I saw GIRAFFES there, especially on the far side that's near the service entrance. Once I got turned around in the parking lot--it's easy in that parking lot--and I saw the giraffes leaningover the tall fence eating the flowers on the guest side of the fence. I walked right up to them!!! I reached out to touch the nose of one, and he popped his head up to look at me--man, are they tall up close!! His evil eye had the desired effect, because I quickly backed off, and he went back to the flowers! It was unforgettable!

We went to breakfast last year and a CM said to go all the way down the right hall and out the door. We saw alot of animals. On the way back we peeked in a suite. The CM that was cleaning it let us look around. It was great.
