the chef cooking, slicing and putting on a show basically at your table? Or is that the other restaurant in Japan? Thanks.

Yes, this is the place- we just ate here about 2 weeks ago for the first time- and we LOVED it! It was one of our favorite places on the whole trip- the atmosphere was wonderful, and the food was delicious. I wasn't sure if my son would like it, because he is a bit of a picky eater, but they had lots of "plain" choices for kids- veggies, plain rice, chicken, shrimp, etc. He cleaned his plate, and even tried some of our dinners.

One thing to note- I am not sure how many would be in your party, but if you are in a small party, you will be seated with another group to fill the table- we were a party of 3, and ate with a party of 4. We are outgoing, and had fun talking to the other group, but I guess some people would not like that.

The "show" that the chefs put on is really cool! The more interaction your table gives, the more you get in return. Here are a couple photos from our experience- I would definitely recommend trying it!:goodvibes

Great pictures, thanks for sharing!

Did you happen to notice how many can sit at each table? Thanks

The Teppan Edo is one of our favorite WS restaurants, it is a must do each trip. We were there in October shortly after it reopened and we were delighted. The rooms are beautiful with the new hoods. The staff is warm and friendly and the food is good. I was disappointed that all of the scallop comibination choices are gone, but I still enjoyed our meal.
The tables at Teppan Edo seat 8.
Tokoyo Dining looks beautiful as well. I will miss the lounge however, DH and I would wander in in the middle of a hot afternoon for a bit of a rest and a cool beverage. It was always a relaxing hour or so. When we were there in October Teppan Edo was accepting the DDP, but Tokoyo Dining was not.
I would love to try it here sometime.

Thanks for posting the pictures! We are going in 3 weeks and really looking forward to it. We booked it for DD's 5th birthday - she just LOVES to watch cooking shows, so we thought she'd have fun. I hope she and DS3 will find enough to eat, but if not, they surely won't starve at WDW :)

No problem, and I am sure your kids will love it! They may surprise you at how much they actually will eat there. There are "plain" choices for the kids, like the noodles or rice, so they can find something I am sure. Actually, ds4 really surprised us at how much he ate- he even tried new things- I think it was because he saw how they were prepared, and the chef made it look like fun! Have a wonderful time!:goodvibes

I just made reservations for June. I cannot wait to try this place. I think my children will love it..

We were there the first week of Dec and loved it. The best meal of the trip. My DS loved watching the chef and the food was great.

I really wonder if we can fit 9 at a table.. 6 adults 3 kids 9,7 and 5....

Or will we need to split up.... will they seat two parties next to each other I wonder...
