Is Table in Wonderland still worth it?

the break even point is no longer $750 because with being able to get meals at most TS places for 10% off, the differential is only 10% not 20%. So $1500 is a more accurate break even point and even more if you go to many restaurants where you get the 20% off.

Some of that can be made up with alcohol. I would average $10 per drink and see how that figures into it as well. My guess is it may not be worth it but if you are there long enough it may become worth it over time, esp if you drink a lot.

This is not true, depending on the places where you eat. Most of the TS restaurants in MK ONLY take TIW. Same with HS. So if those restaurants are among the ones you will be visiting, you will not be looking at $1500 as a break even point. One meal at BOG for a party of 4 will easily hit $200.

All of the TS restaurants in the MK including BOG now offer at least 10% off with your AP.

Just us - to the OP? We put our money where our mouth is.... New TIW card, October 3, 2016.

Now- why the detail?

You see, we plan. Vacation 11-10-2016. Vacation 4-20-2017. Vacation 11-15-2017.

By working WITH these folks, we have a TIW card good for 3 trips. We actually ASKED them, and they were kind enough to ADVISE us as to WHEN to purchase a TIW card to cover our next three trips. So? WE get TIW for $50 a trip. Because we TALKED to them.

Really - TIW does a great job tailoring a purchase to maximize your benefit. Just CONTACT them :).

Wait - doesn't the TiW card become active when you purchase it? So your card would only be active until Oct 31st, 2017 - you won't be able to use it on your last trip.

I believe this is true. According to their website, it is as well. "General Policies" on tablesinwonderland.com
Tables in Wonderland is valid for one year from date of purchase.

Would it expire 10/3/17 or 10/31/17?

I think the deal is it expires at the end of the calendar month a year from when you bought it. From http://www.disneytouristblog.com/tables-in-wonderland-card-review/ : "The Tables in Wonderland card is valid for a year from the month of purchase (as opposed to being valid for a calendar year), and it actually expires on the last day of the month one year from the month during which it is purchased. Meaning that if you purchased the Tables in Wonderland card on December 1, 2016, it would be valid until December 31, 2017. This means it essentially could be valid for ~13 months if you time it right." So since it was bought at the beginning of October 2016, it should be good up until the end of October 2017.

I bought my TIW on June 12, 2016. My card says it expires July 31, 2017

This will be our 3rd card and it always extends to month after purchase. Unless of course the policy changed since I bought a few months ago.

Not worth it right now with increase in annual pass to 20%. In perspective, you'd have to spend $750 on alcohol to break even.

Well only if you limit yourself to the TS restaurants that are on the annual pass. Since there are only 45 total that does not cover a lot of the TS restaurants so that needs to be kept in mind as well. But yes if you limit it to those 45 restaurants then the TIW card would not be needed unless you planned on drinking a lot. Which well, maybe!!!

THIS is the correct assessment of current TIW Policy. The card is good for 12 FULL months. Hence? Always buy EARLY in a month, previous to the MONTH that you wish the card to expire.

But don't believe me.... believe TIW :). If you just CALL them? They will be more than willing to confirm all this :).

Our personal example: Having been coached by TIW? We bought a card on October 3, 2016.

But you see - 3 days of October were GONE. Therefore, based on TIW's Operating Discipline.... That card is valid until the end of NOVEMBER, 2017.
Hard to grasp, and a good reason to CALL these folks, and ask :).
