Is SW going to reserved seating??

Our friend who is a pilot for another airline told us last month that SW was going to reserved seating. Has anyone else heard that????

I read where they were going to be testing it, but not for all flights at this time.

They are testing assigned seating for some flights from San Diego. They are updating their computer system, won't be done until 2008, so they can go to assigned seating if they think it makes sense.

Its at least 1-2 years away for Southwest even if they follow through with assigned seats, but my feeling is they will NOT.
