Since people from Conn call a sub a grinder, why would they call it SUBway in Conn.?

Aren't they grinders in CT anyway? I know my cousins from New Britain have always called them grinders. Grinderway DEFINITELY doesn't cut it!

I live in RI in a town that borders CT....to be honest with you, I don't hear many people call them hoagies at all.....it's a grinder.

The Subway grinders are wicked good. lol

Oh darn! It is GRINDER, sorry. Why did I think it was hoagie? I will edit the OP, thanks!

I laugh everytime I hear a hero/sub called a grinder...it reminds me of a sex act!

 woooooo hooooo ;)

Now we're talking...I'll take a pass on the Italian grinder now, thanks....

The only heros around here are the ones in the military!

It's a sub in NY and CT.

My DH (born in CT) says grinder but the Subway chain is changing that, quickly.

I've lived in CT all my life...my family and friends have always called them grinders, and frequently have them from Subway. :)
