Is Stitch really that bad?

One of the best of the Disney movies in last ten-fifteen years, but definitely the worst ride they have ever had in MK.
I think the basic reason it is so bad is, it does absolutely NOTHING....nothing happens...you sit in a circle, held down by useless/meaningless shoulder bars annnnnnnnnd....nothing. Waste of space. Sad....

Stich is just fine if it starts raining and you can't make it to Carousel of Progress without getting drenched.

It's better than wet underwear!

My kid (7) likes it. It's not that bad. Try it and make your own judgement. Good thing is that since so many people don't like it, there is never a line.

The ride is a sensory ride - you see a cute animatronic of Stitch in the beginning, then he gets loose and causes havoc.

You're put in complete darkness in seats your locked in while things happens around you - noises, smells, vibrations, air, etc. Some people like it, some people are eh about it, some people are truly frightened.

I have to so I was extremely scared by it. I mean it's supposed to be silly and good natured but I found that strapping me an a chair and taking away my ability to see makes me extremely nervous; throw in other sensory things that can't do anything about and I start to panic. Of my other friends however, one thought it was cute and the others couldn't care one way of the other.

The fact it replaced Alien Encounter makes it that much worse.

We go once a trip. I enjoy it enough to keep going on it. I still laugh at the chili dog (That everyone else seems to think is disgusting and awful) it's cute for what it is (Like it better than Laugh Floor which was like 1 and done)

A good test to see if you want to do it is to hang out in the gift shop and watch all of the crying kids coming out with their frazzled parents

We are huge disney lovers, but there are 2 rides that we feel they could do so much more with. One is Stitch and the other is Jungle Cruise. As far as stitch, it is just plain boring to us. I think it's worth trying once, and then if your kids want to go back, fine. Our kids never asked to go back.

If you're disappointed in Jungle Cruise, whatever you do don't look up Tokyo Disneyland's refurbed version...

Stitch is one of my least favourite attractions, but it's not horrible. I would probably give it a skip if my son didn't always want to go on it. I just use the time to chill for a few minutes in the dark.
I used to hate that it hurt my shoulders when the restraint pushes down on you (part of the show), but then I figured out a trick to slightly elevate my shoulders while loading the ride so once the restraint is locked in and I sit normally, I have enough shoulder clearance that the thing doesn't touch me when it presses down. Once I sorted that out, no problem in just taking one for the team and sitting through it.

Went with the 4 year old to do Stitch last week and I can honestly say we would have been totally fine if we skipped it. There really is no "point" to the ride whatsoever. We didn't have any idea of what to expect and had just finished riding Buzz, so when I saw the low wait time on my app, I figured it was worth a shot. That was 15 minutes of my life I cannot get back and if I ever had to go back, I will skip it.

It's only bad for adults that left their inner child at home. It's not the best they have ever done, but, it really doesn't deserve the bad mouthing that it get constantly from folks that cannot see the humor in it. Check it out for yourself. In my mind if you leave your inner child at home when making a visit to WDW, you might as well stay at home with it.

I am usually fine on anything but I was miserable on Stitch. My shoulder hardness was agony and I hated the bad smell. It was 8 years ago and now my 6 year old is dying to go on it. My husband and I have a ongoing bet where the loser has to take him on Stitch on our next trip.

- Pointless waste of space
- An all out insult to Alien Encounter

It is about 30+ minutes of your day you won't get back and that's if you walk on ....

My mom hated it, and even then, I can't quite get the hate it gets. Probably if I rode it in its original Alien form, I would comprehend the hate better.

Very true. It would not be on a hate level if you had never experienced Alien. It's just bad and pointless.

Disney has quite a few attractions that "aren't a ride" so not sure what bothers people about that. We go on it once during our trip ( we try to do EVERY attraction LOL). I don't love it but I don't hate it. I always make sure to do the hands on my shoulders so the harness doesn't come down too tight. I think everything at Disney is worth doing once.

First went to disney in 2013 with toddler girls. I skipped it that year because of all the hate I had heard for it. On my 2014 trip, i said "It cant be all bad", and took my girls. I hate that ride, absolutely hate it. Bulldoze it and put something enjoyable in its place.
