Is Stitch really that bad?

Yes. Its that bad. My 8 year old daughter wanted to go, because she likes Stitch. She was very scared and hated that ride. My claustrophobic wife hated it as well.

If your kids love Stitch, I would try it.

We ride it most of the time when at the parks. It's not an "I love it" or "must do" ride, but more on the level of PeopleMover for us. Sit down, rest your legs, and enjoy the AC while experiencing a so-so attraction.

I can sit through Stitch before I can sit through Carousel of Progress or Hall of Presidents. #shotsfired

:duck:

Another one and done here. There is NO other attraction or show on the entire WDW property that I can that about. It is such a total waste of space, not to mention my park time.

My 13 year old loves it. I don't think it's that bad. I'd rather do something else..... but I don't mind riding it.

It's not that bad. If you haven't tried it and have the time to do so, check it out and decide for yourself. I would never completely rule something out, whether it be a ride, attraction, or restaurant, based on random people's opinions on the internet! Now, if you are deciding between Stitch and something else, then yes, I'd take others' opinions into consideration (and probably skip Stitch!).

My boys, now 15 and 10 still like it. I think it's a nostalgia thing for the oldest because he would watch Lilo and Stitch everyday after day care when he was 3 and 4.

Stitch is one I have no desire to ever do again. It's just stupid. But, I was also a fan of Alien ExtraTerrorestrial, and it's gone, so there's that.

Well if lines are Long everywhere else, you have eaten, have no Money for Shopping and Need to cool off, then this ride is worth it!!!

No but seriously.. we did this maybe after our 3rd trip to MK and had time. I would not make this a prio unless you have a stich fan, and even then they might be disappointed.

the ride is also dark and can be scary for Little Kids.. As an adult I found it totally lame and pointless. was a bit freaked out about the darkness and not knowing what is coming etc..... that can be fun though.

I found the Story line and theme and Point ( lack of) really lame... I got it.. "LAME" is the best way to describe it.

it's a love hate Thing.. A lot of People hated CaptainEO .. I loved it!!! my Kids too and didnt didnt grow up with MJ... They were laughing as it was like a corny Star Wars... my son was laughing at the Dance moves etc... too bad they got rid of it actually.

My youngest was a huge Stitch fan so of course on our first trip we had to do Stitch. He was TERRIFIED and we had to leave within minutes of it starting. I have no idea how bad the rest of it is we've never done it since.

I went on it with my then-7 year old son. I needed to see why it got so much hate. I thought it was lame, and gross (hot dog burps in your face, oh yay). But parts are completely dark so I'm not surprised it scares some kids. You get strapped in a harness but your seat doesn't move at all which I'm sure people expect.
It's bad, but not so bad that you shouldn't try it. My son liked it!

I mean no its not really that bad. It's just not good. It's something to do if you have time to kill since there is usually never really a wait. But don't go out of your way to see it.

We just watched Lilo & Stitch for the first time (it's so cute!), and we're doing the character meal on our upcoming trip. So I think my kids will want to ride Stitch. Does anyone like it? Is it as terrifying as Alien was? We avoided it on previous trips, but probably won't be able to this time.

Yes.

It's actually really cute! It's one of my 12yo son's favorite attraction....

No ..
If your family likes Lilo and Stitch, it is cute .. at least worth one time through .. like any ride at Disney.
It's more a "show" than a ride.

If your kids are too young they may get scared though.

It gets hate because the forums are filled with frequent visitors and it just isn't really worth a second viewing, but I found it fun on the first time through.

I so wish they'd change it back to the alien attraction, since I never got to experience that one!

my husband and i had very, very low expectations but it wasn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. we knew before hand about the restraints tho and pushed ourselves up out of our seats a bit to avoid the restraints locking us in too low and smushing us. thanks dis boards! it really is a show tho and NOT a ride. however, it felt a little time consuming, being locked into your seat for no reason is annoying, and the show pay off wasn't worth the effort nor the time spent. it's worth doing once tho just because some of it's kinda ok and sitting in a.c. is always nice.

Yes, it is awful. My 4-year old was truly scared (7 years ago). We didn't go on it again until he was 11. And then he just thought it was stupid.
There are plenty, more magical things to do at the park!

I found Stitch to be underwhelming. I never rode the original Alien ride so I can't compare to that. I'm also not claustrophobic or scared of the dark so the lights going on and off and the restraint ride gimmick was more annoying than anything. I think the best thing about the ride is seeing the Stitch animatronic but I love engineering things like that (My brother and I rode Soarin' twice on our last trip and the second time we spent about half of it craning our heads up and around to see the ride mechanisms rather than paying attention to the ride itself so you can see what holds our attention). But if you are going for that and you end up on the wrong side you don't get a good view of it for very long.
