Is Splash Mountain Closed?

I guess I shouldnt have used the word "Closed" but rather the word "Down". I have a friend who is at Disneyland right now and has been for almost a week now. She has her laptop with her and posts periodically about what a good time she is having. I asked her tonight if she has been on Splash Mountain yet this week and she said "No it has been down". She didnt say anything else and I am not sure if I will speak with her again before I leave on my Disneyland vacation early this Saturday morning to find out why. I dont recall this being on the refurb schedule.
