Is Spectromagic leaving WDW?

Thought that I had read somewhere that Spectro was leaving in December of 2008, and being replaced with something new/different.

Anyone know anything?

At the official WDW website, the "SpectroMagic" Parade is listed on all calendars that have been posted -- all the way through March 2009.

The announcement (on September 18) of the "Celebration Vacations" ("What Will You Celebrate?") marketing promotion did not mention anything about a new nighttime parade in 2009. Normally, Disney Marketing would jump on the chance to incorporate an imminent new ride, show, or parade into the promotional effort.

I do not expect to see the "SpectroMagic" Parade depart from the Magic Kingdom any time soon.

It's a shame that Disney doesn't move their nighttime parades around more often between the world's various Magic Kingdoms.

What they need to do is send Spectrodisaster to Paris where it will really be appreciated and bring back our Main Street Electrical Parade. I love the "Electronic Hoedown".
