Is Southwest part of Magical Express?

I don't have my flight booked yet, but if we fly out of Manchester, NH on Southwest and we are staying at Coronado, aren't we eligible for the Magical Express? But from what I"m reading we won't be, but can we still get the free ride to the resort just not them handling our luggage? I haven't booked yet, if we don't get the transportation maybe i won't go Southwest, maybe Jet Blu. We won't need Magical Express arriving though, my sister lives in Orlando, we are spending our first night at her house, so we can get an early start in the morning, she will give us an early ride to check in, but checking out we will need Magical Express. Anybody know? :confused3

There is a sticky at the top of this board that explains everything you asked.
Your luggage will be picked up at the airport by the ME people, it will be delivered to your room, you can ride the ME bus. You will have to get your luggage to the bus loading area for your return, and you will have ME transport back to the airport. You will not be able to check in for your flight at the airline check in desk, however, the front desk, guest services at any park, or DD can and will be happy to check in for you 24 hours before your flight home.

Everybody is eligible for ME. It doesn't matter what airline you fly.

If you just need ME for the return back to the airport, that's fine. You can even wait until you get to your resort to make those ressies. They will tell you when to be down in the lobby to catch the ME bus. You bring your luggage down to the bus with you, and take your luggage to the checkin counter at the airport. As the previous poster mentioned, you can get your boarding passes at WDW.

Each resort has a designated area that is the same as the airline check in area at the airport. They will tag your luggage and issue you your boarding passes. Then they will take your bags to the airport, rather than your having to take them. So, when you get to the airport, you just have to head directly to the security area, with no checkin. This is what SW is not entitled to. It really has nothing whatsoever to do with DME....it is run completely apart from DME.
As others have said, DME will grab your bags upon your arrival at MCO, you will ride the DME bus to your resort, and your bags will 'magically' appear a few hours after your room is available. Then, when you return to MCO, you can get your boarding passes printed at the front desk of your resort, you take your bags with you to the DME bus, the driver will stow them underneath the bus, and off you go. At the airport you will then check your bags the same as you normally would.

If your not using DME when you arrive don't put the DME tags on your luggage. you will need to get them yourself.

All features of Magical Express are available to Southwest passengers except that taking baggage to the airport yourself and checking it there going home is mandatory, not optional.

Printing of Southwest boarding passes at the resort, when desired, is actually done separately from the ME system, namely by the concierge.

No problem with one way ME service although you still need to make the advance reservation.

We are flying Southwest out of Manchester and are using DME. We will be staying at the MCO Hyatt the night we arrive and picking it up first thing in the morning and arriving at our resort and checking in. We will then need to bring our bags with us the last day and have them put on the bus with us and check them in with SW when we are ready to leave. The only thing you won't be able to utilize by using SW is DME handling your luggage for you on the return trip. If they were a participating airline you would not see your bags again until you landed back in NH. You can do it with no problems. Good luck.
