Are they going to keep Soarin' as an attraction after the 50th. celebration is over? My friend loved it, and hopes it will remain after the event. Anyone know?

LOL, it better stay. It's my favorite ride at Epcot now.
Seriously, I can't imagine that they would invest that much in a ride only to close it. I hope they change the film from time to time, though.

Yes, it is slated to stay. There are in fact rumors to the effect that they are going to change the 'movie' part to be more representative of WDW...maybe Florida or World Showcase countries...don't know yet but that is the rumor.

Yes, I think it will stay for awhile. Even though the millenium village was closed after a year, I think they are looking to keep some E-pass rides in Epcot to help with attendance.

They still use the millenium village for special events. Cinderellabration is probably the only event that probably won't be around after the celebration.

Heck yeah! With the amount of money invested into that ride there is no way it is going anywhere anytime soon...unless they need another meet'n'greet area :rotfl2:

Just kidding!

I have heard that the new movie will be Soarin' around the world. It would fit better into Epcot. The ride is great and can't wait to go again!!!

Loved Soarin!! My DH and I went on it 8 times while we were there a week ago!!! Would love it if they would change the movie periodically though.

I'm sure it will stay...

The only thing I dont like about it is, why do you have to walk so far to get to the actual attracton???

That's what we heard. That it will become Soarin around the world which will fit perfectly into Epcot!

It wasn't open except for some limited trials the last time we went. From what I could see looking at the buildings and the pictures after it opened, the reason for the long walk is that you are actually leaving the Land building and entering a brand new building connected to the Land.

Never been on it and we are going in 19 days. Can anyone tell me if I will get sick? I do not go on any coasters or Test Track so I would like to go on with my sons if it is not too wild. Thanks

Yep, it is because it is quite a distance from the Land. If you walk to the other side of World Showcase. You will see that Soarin' is actually built basically in Canada. In order to obtain the necessary space to build the attraction they had to put it there.

When I first heard the big blue building was going to be Soarin' I figured you would be entering near Canada but instead it is in the Land.

It is not a wild ride. It is a steady gentle movement feeling. If you do get sick on simulators it might bother you though. Although I have never heard of anyone getting sick on Soarin'

Soarin' is not wild. It is a simulated ride in a glider "Soarin'" over California. DW who won't ride on ANYTHING loves Soarin'. It will not make you sick. You rise off of the ground, but it is gentle and it's a wonderful ride.

Hello everyone,
We returned last weekend for 6nights 7 days in the World and did behind the scences tour and the guide said that Soarin is slated to become Soarin over America, which I think will be great, but this could just be a thought WDW has at the moment.
