Yes if you have shingles you are contagious. My husband had them and dd 8 got them even though she had the chicken pox vaccination. The awful thing was i had sent her to school the first day as she had such as light case i thought they where bug bites
. She came home that night with a 104 temp, my mother-in-law who is an RN came up to take care of her since she couldn't go to school the next day....took one look at her and said...THose are NOT bug bites that child has CHICKEN POX...not one of my proud parenting moments!!
